Great 8 Passport gets Spotlight from KSFY News

The Brookings CVB, along with a few area attractions, were excited to get up bright and early to share details about the Brookings Great 8 Passport with KSFY's Vanessa Gomez. In an attempt to get her passport stamped, Gomez made a stop at the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum, the Children's Museum of South Dakota and McCrory Gardens. BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Brookings Great 8 Passports will be available until December. Visitors and residents are encouraged to visit eight different locations that are unique to Brookings to explore the city. The eight stops are the Children's Museum of South Dakota, McCrory Gardens Education & Visitors Center, the South Dakota Art Museum, the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum, Nick's Hamburger Shop, the Outdoor Adventure Center, the SDSU Dairy Bar, and Brookings Art Council & the Artful Dozen.

The South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum is also celebrating its 50th anniversary in July and the staff is holding a special celebration. It will be July 26th from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM with live music and free cake. Nick's Burgers will also be selling food.

McCrory Gardens is celebrating its 30th annual Garden Party on August 4th from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Admission is just a free will donation and there are activities going on all day. Musician Phil Baker will be there from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM along with SDSU Ice Cream being served.
