Everyone's ready for a return to normal, but until then, safe travel is our number one priority in Brookings. While you're out and about, there are a few small things you can do to keep our town the welcoming, lively place its always been. Wear a mask, follow CDC guidelines, and always keep a healthy distance from others. Do those three things and we can keep our shops open for business and get the world back to normal a little sooner.
More than 145 area businesses and organizations have taken the Brookings Stay Safe Pledge, a simple agreement to practice good hygiene and follow elevated health guidelines. It's a shared effort to keep our residents and guests safe.
In the city of Brookings, all individuals are required to wear a mask in any indoor business and indoor public space if six feet or more of social distancing isn't possible.
We'll lead the way to a good time in great places. Check out our event page for ideas to keep you safe and busy!

In Brookings, fresh air adventure is always in season. One of our greatest hidden gems, Dakota Nature Park is open year-round. Rent some snowshoes, walk the trail or cast a line underneath the ice. Starting December 5, you can walk through a winter wonderland at McCrory Garden's festive celebration, Garden Glow.
Some carts are best filled offline. The Brookings community has a wide variety of boutiques, downtown shops, and brand name stores to explore.
