Questions

The Swiftel Center’s annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign kicks off the month of October.

Did you know, 100% of all campaign proceeds will be donated to Brookings Health System Foundation to promote cancer screening benefits, such as regular mammograms and local resources that are available for cancer patients!

HOW IT WORKS

At the beginning of October, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign kicks off with the unveiling of the new t-shirt. Each year features a unique design to spread the message to think pink. T-shirts are available for purchase throughout the entire month and can be purchased at the Ticket Office as well as various locations throughout Brookings.

THINK PINK CHALLENGE

This October, the Swiftel Center is once again challenging the Brookings community to think pink. Businesses are asked to designate one day a week as “Think Pink” day on which employees can wear the Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirts.

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS

Funds raised by the 2019 Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign will be used locally to promote local cancer screening benefits, such as regular mammograms. Funds will also help provide information about the importance of breast self-examination and promote resources that are available for patients at Avera Medical Group Brookings and Brookings Health System. More than $58,100 has been raised to-date through the annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign. The Swiftel Center works with Brookings Health System Foundation to effectively distribute funds. Thanks to community support, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign has assisted many cancer patients in Brookings County with 100% of proceeds staying local.
