Let us do the set up + clean up… all you have to do is show up in your play clothes ready to get messy. \nWe’re talking paint\, chalk\, ink\, oobleck\, cardboard\, pasta\, beans\, ice\, flowers\, + more… with some imagination\, these everyday materials allow your child to express their creativity in a low-pressure environment. \nAll events will be held at Lions Park in central Brookings\, which has amenities including shade\, restrooms\, + playground equipment. We strongly encourage you to wear sun protection + bring a water bottle. \nEach session starts at $10 for your first/only child\, and +$5 for each additional child after that. Register in advance by sending Tend a DM on FB or IG\, for a special deal ($8/$4\, instead of $10/$5).

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate a piece of Brookings history! Join us for the grand unveiling of the America’s 250th Community Mural on Thursday\, June 4\, at 7:00 PM at the VFW George Dokken Post (520 Main Ave).\nThis community mosaic mural is a true community project\, featuring over 950 individual tiles hand-painted by Brookings residents. The VFW parking lot will be reserved for participants to gather as we reveal this lasting tribute to the spirit of Brookings. Following the ceremony\, the VFW will be open to the public for anyone who would like to head inside and continue the celebration!\nThe mural is a project of the Brookings Regional Growth Alliance and funded by a grant from the Brookings Public Arts Commission.
