DESCRIPTION:Weekly wood-fired pizza nights are every Sunday evening\, 4:30-7:30 PM\, starting early June – mid Oct. This year\, enjoy our farm fresh pizza with family and friends by placing a pre-order! Pre-orders for the upcoming Sundays will be open Tuesdays from 3 pm with the new menu. \nTo place your order visit goodrootsfarm.square.site\, order up to 6 pizzas of your fancy\, and select the time you’d like your pizzas to be ready the following Sunday! Our menu will be updated often to reflect the seasonal produce available. \nOn the night of\, we welcome you to enjoy the evening on the farm with your family and friends. Our food is served picnic-style and we have plenty of space to spread out and make the evening special\, safely. We encourage you to bring your own yard games\, lawn chairs\, blankets\, and plates to enjoy our farm\, food and animals. Friendly\, non-barking dogs on leashes are welcome. \nQ & A- \n\n\nDo I need a reservation? We highly encourage it! To ensure your pizza is hot\, fresh\, and ready in a timely fashion we ask that you pre-order your pizzas. Visit goodrootsfarm.square.site to place your order. \n\n\nWhat can I expect? Specialty\, hand-crafted\, wood-fired pizzas and a beautiful evening on the farm with space to enjoy your friends and family. You can spend the entire evening on the farm and when your pizzas are ready\, we will display your order number by the Pizza Ovens. \n\n\nDo I need to bring drinks? No\, we’ve got you covered! We sell select beers\, wine\, and signature lemonades. Bring your own water or we will have some bottled water you can purchase. \n\n\nWhat should we bring? Our pizza is served picnic-style and delivered to you hot from our wood-fired oven in a pizza box. Please bring your own utensils\, napkins\, lawn chair\, and yard games\, if you like.

SUMMARY:Brookings Area Community Band
DESCRIPTION:The Brookings Area Community Band\, one of the region’s most time-honored summer traditions\, has announced its 42nd season.\nThe band is in its twentieth year under the baton of David Reynolds\, Director of Performing Arts at SDSU. Reynolds states\, “We hope that music lovers of all ages will come and enjoy the entire series. Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket and find out what summer in Brookings is all about.” Complimentary treats are served at each concert.\nAlthough each concert’s music is based on programmatic themes\, every concert this season will include music that celebrates USA-250.\nJune 14 “Around the World in 60 Minutes” The band’s season opener features music from three continents.\nJune 21 “Kids in Orbit” It’s Children’s Night! Enjoy music that captures the wonder and imagination of the outer space\, served up with plenty of cotton candy.\nJune 28 “Broadway Comes to Brookings” There’s no need to travel to New York when the band brings music from your favorite musicals to you!\nJuly 5 “Happy Birthday\, USA!” This patriotic concert includes a generous portion of flag-waving marches\, a salute to veterans\, and complimentary watermelon.\nJuly 19 “By Request” There is something for everyone during the band’s season finale\, including our famous burger-and-brat feed.\nThe band will also perform in the Brookings 4th of July Parade and back in the park on Sunday morning of the Brookings Summer Arts Festival following the ecumenical service. The Sunday morning performance replaces the Sunday evening concert that weekend.\nAll concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. In case of rain\, concerts are moved indoors to the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center and begin at 7:45 p.m. For more information on how to volunteer\, join or support the band or about the series\, please call Kathy Larsen at 605-695-0397.
