The Brookings Arts Council hosts a multi-class workshop on portrait photography. In this class, participants will learn how to create basic and easy DIY studio lighting with items found at a local hardware store. Instructor Chelsie Bakken will lead the class through various topics like different types of light, bouncing light, modifires, white balance, light/color temperature, catchlights, basic lighting setups, and creative lighting.
This class is perfect for novice photographers who need help venturing into studio lighting on a bootstrap budget. The cost of the class is $47.
