There are several engaging activities and booths for guests to enjoy including face painting\, inflatables\, yard games\, retail/shopping booths\, local business booths\, food/drink stands with goodies available for purchase and more!\nThe primary goal of Downtown at Sundown is to create an all-ages event and central gathering place for community members and visitors every Thursday\, July 22 – August 19! This year we’ve DOUBLE our space with the stage centering on the intersection of 5th Street & Main.\nThis week’s band is the Devon Worley Band. The Devon Worley Band is riding their own raw edge of country and rock\, this band is turning heads and making waves\, while bringing a brand new attitude to country music. DESCRIPTION:Ceramics: We will learn several different hand building techniques\, including but not limited to\, additive and reductive sculpting\, slab and coil. Creating both functional and sculptural ceramic art. \nJoin us at the BAC this summer to learn and create ceramics during our summer teen art camps. These are open to all ages but geared towards ages 11 and up. Teens will be guided through various ceramic projects each day throughout the week. All supplies will be provided with the cost of the class. \nThe Brookings Arts Council will be hosting as many of our camps outside as possible under tents during the summer. While inside the BAC mask will still be required. \nThis camp will require a second time two weeks after the class has finished to glaze works. A signup genius will be provided and times to complete glazing. Time required will only equal two hours at most.
