DESCRIPTION:Join for a fun and casual community bicycle ride around Brookings! Meet at the corner of 5th St. and Main Ave. by 6pm. \nBrookings Critical Mass takes place (weather permitting) on the last Friday of every month (January – October\, plus a ride on the night of Brookings’s festival of lights in early December). \nWhat is Critical Mass? Critical Mass is a bicycling event typically held on the last Friday of every month in over 300 cities around the world.\nIn Brookings\, the ride is open to all. Come meet other bicyclists and enjoy a casual ride around town. Routes may have a theme (schools\, water towers) or highlight an area of town. \nPlease dress for the weather and bring water\, sunscreen\, etc. Helmets and bike lights are encouraged. \nRides usually last about an hour. Afterwards\, anyone who is interested is welcome to join to go out to eat somewhere\, usually downtown. \nThis event is subject to cancellations due to weather. Visit the Facebook group before making plans.
