Writer/Director Andrew Kightlinger from Pierre, South Dakota brings his new film shot in South Dakota to the Brookings Cinema 8 Movie Theatre. "Tater Tot & Patton" centers around a city girl who escapes to her Uncle's ranch in central South Dakota, unhinging his lonely boozer life. The film, shot in central SD, features the producers of "Napoleon Dynamite" and stars Jessica Rothe from La La Land and Happy Death Day. The film has already acquired several awards, including Winner Best Screenplay Vail Film Festival, Winner Best Film South Dakota Film Festival, and Winner Best Film Beloit International Film Festival.
Ahead of the premier in Brookings, Knightlinger is hosting a Q&A Thursday night, starting at 7:30 PM.
