Bridgit is thriving after 16 years with Visit Brookings. Since graduating from South Dakota State University in Hotel and Food Service Management, she’s immersed herself in the visitor industry.
Laura joined Visit Brookings (formerly the Brookings CVB) in July 2019, bringing over 12 years of CVB and Chamber experience to the position.
Murphy graduated from South Dakota State University in May 2026 with her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management.
Casey has a degree in Leadership and Management of Nonprofit Organizations from SDSU. He joined the team back in 2021 as an intern and enjoyed the community so much he hasn’t left! One of Casey’s favorite parts of his job is helping SDSU students see and find the opportunities and amenities available for them in Brookings.
Layne moved to Brookings to attend South Dakota State University, fell in love with the area, and decided to put down roots. You can find her enjoying local recreation amenities and attending regional entertainment and events. She enjoys making personalized recommendations to visitors and locals alike – Brookings has something to offer for everyone!
Catherine is pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies at South Dakota State University with minors in Marketing and Advertising.
