Brookings Itinerary
Day-to-Night Brews in Brookings!

A good day starts with brew and ends with brew. Isn’t it just easier to hang out in places where you can easily slide from one to the other? First, start out your morning at Choco Latte to grab a coffee and dessert to-go for later, post up at Kool Beans to transition your late morning coffee into afternoon wine-sipping, and end your afternoon and evening hanging out at Wooden Legs Brewing!

Choco Latte Coffee and Handmade Candy

I wasn’t sure what to expect when we pulled up to Choco Latte, but by the time we left, I knew it would be my coffee shop of choice to start out each day in Brookings. Choco Latte has a cozy and comfortable setting with plenty of outlets, coffee drinks, and unique pastries to pique your palette’s curiosity and the friendliest staff ever to help you explore their menu. Their baked items are as delectable as the coffee and the fudge… Oh, the fudge. If you’re having a great day, get a Choco Latte. If you’re having a bad day, get a Choco Latte. It is the best way to treat yourself in any situation.

Pro Tip: Ask for a fudge sample! 🙂

Kool Beans Coffee and Roasterie

Okay, Kool Beans. We see you. This corner building on Main is literally designed to be your all-day haunt from morning ‘til night, with an ultra-hip coffee shop on one side of the building and a relaxed yet trendy Mosaic Wine Bar on the other. Guests are welcome to sit on either side at any time, so it wouldn’t be hard to transition from coffee to wine in one sitting… just saying. We were obsessed with Kool Bean’s on-trend merch, interior design, and idyllic historic building with exposed brick and massive archways. Sigh. It’s the kind of place where cool people in movies meet up for coffee. Take us back to Kool Beans…

Pro Tip: Get maple-flavored everything. Maple oatmilk latte, maple on your granola parfait, maple everywhere.

Wooden Legs Brewing Company

Wooden Legs Brewing is the kind of brewery where you go in during the afternoon with the intent to play a board game over one beer but end up staying for hours because you’re having so much fun, and the pizza flavors are just weird enough that you NEED to give them a try. We loved the different nooks and seating areas and levels at Wooden Legs- you can tuck in at the bar, sit at an intimate booth, grab a high top, or even take an entire game table. We had to try the Crab Rangoon Pizza, and it was really as good as it sounds.

Pro Tip: Try a flight of their beers – they’re all impressively good!
