1. BCT: Charlie Cox Runs with Scissors by Michael Mckeever
The Brookings Community Theatre presents Charlie Cox Runs with Scissors. Catch the show Thursday at 7:00pm, Friday, at 7:00pm, Saturday at 7:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.
2. Fall Family Festival
Stop by the Agricultural Heritage Museum and Art Museum for our fourth annual FREE Fall Family Festival! Both museums will have activities and kids of all ages are welcome to put on their costumes a few weeks early to trick-or-treat for candy at both sites.
3. South Dakota Ballet’s 5th Annual Gala Tour
The South Dakota Ballet will deliver an enchanting evening of world class ballet and contemporary dance at The Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on October 19 at 7:30pm featuring professional dancers from around the globe. This performance marks South Dakota Ballet’s first performance in Brookings and the excitement and energy surrounding this event palpable.
4. India Night
Join the Indian Students’ Association in celebration during India Night. Tickets are available both online and in person. Price: $16 for SDSU students, $21 for general admission.

5. Watch SDSU vs North Dakota State at Cubby’s
Head to Cubby’s Sports Bar & Grill on Saturday to watch the Jacks as they face the NDSU Bison. The game is set for 7 pm so grab a couple of friends and order up as you cheer on SDSU.
6. Try the Paul Bunyan Latte
An icon at Kool Beans Coffee and Roasterie. This drink features maple and cinnamon roll flavors and is available hot or iced. The fall favorite will not be around forever, so stop in and try it today!
7. Brookings Farmers Market
Two weekends left for the Brookings Farmers Market. Get your fresh veggies, honey and handmade items this Saturday from 9am to 12pm.
8. Fear Asylum
The Fear Asylum is rated South Dakota’s top haunted attraction and is a must-visit in the fall. Purchase tickets ahead of time to save time when arriving at this attraction. The Fear Asylum is open to all ages although is not recommended for young children.
