1. Brookings Arts Council Festival of Trees
Every year the Brookings Arts Council is transformed into a winter wonderland of holiday splendor created around beautifully decorated trees and displays each with their own theme and style. From whimsical to elegant and everything in between, this year promises to be no different! View this event Thursday – Friday 12pm to 5pm and Saturday – Sunday
2. Peewee A, B, C Tournament
Cheer on the Brookings Rangers at the Larson Ice Center this weekend! Follow along with updates on the tournament with the Ranger’s Facebook page.
3. Gifting for Good
Get your holiday shopping done early and shop local at these unique mission-driven gift shops. From art to jewelry, to toys and books, your purchase directly supports the mission of each organization. Gift shop hours vary by location. Please check in with each location for more information closer to the event. Participating gift shops include Brookings Arts Council, Children’s Museum of South Dakota, South Dakota Art Museum, South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum and McCrory Gardens.
4. MacBeth by William Shakespeare
Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders the King and takes the Scottish throne for himself. Shakespeare’s classic tale gives warning to the destruction wrought when ambition goes unchecked by moral constraints. Show times include Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:00pm.
5. Timmy Williams LIVE at The Comedy Room
Head over to Wooden Legs Brewing Co. to laugh the night away. This Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm watch the hilarious Timmy Williams while enjoying craft beers and good food. Tickets are available online.
6. Get Your Holiday Shopping Done
The Brookings Radio is hosting their 12th Annual Holiday Shopping Expo Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Dacotah Bank Center. THis is a unique shopping experience featuring crafters, jewelry makers, boutiques, artists and small business owners.
7. Wreath Making Workshop at McCrory Gardens
Join us this Saturday from 10-4pm for a Wreath Making Workshop instructed by SDSU Horticulture Club students! 
Pay with cash or card when you get here, no need for registration! This is a drop-in event, so stay for as long or as little as you want! Visit their Facebook page for more information.
8. Explore the Great 8 Passport
The Great 8 Passport serves as your guided tour to some of our favorite spots to explore in Brookings! Visit them all in one day or take a few days to explore each destination in depth, however you decide to complete the passport you can totally personalize your adventure! You can pick up your own passport to follow along at any of the Great 8 locations or the Visit Brookings office.
