1. BHS Homecoming
Show your Bobcat pride! Celebrate Brookings’ homecoming on Friday with a parade downtown at 2:00 pm. In the evening cheer on the Brookings Bobcats as they take on Tea at 7:00 pm.
2. Attend Fuddy Meers
It’s one harrowing and hilarious turn after another on this roller coaster ride through the day of an amnesiac trying to decipher her fractured life. Claire is abducted by a man who claims her husband wants to kill her. Audiences will view the ensuing mayhem through the kaleidoscope of Claire’s world! Performances are all weekend.
3. “That’s How We Roll” Reception & Artists Talk | Jim Yellowhawk and Ray “Rock Boy” Janis
Celebrate “That’s How We Roll” the new collaborartive artwork by Jim Yellowhawk and Ray “Rock Boy” Janis. This work will be on view in the lower level of the South Dakota Art Museum. The image shared here is a portion of the entire artwork.
4. SDSU Football Downtown Watch Party
Grab your lawn chair and join us in downtown Brookings for an exciting match between the SDSU Jackrabbits and the UNI Panthers!
5. Pheasant Restaurant & Lounge
Known for its relaxed atmosphere, this Brookings spot offers American cuisine focusing on local and regional ingredients, including South Dakota specialties such as chislic, bison, walleye and pheasant. The Pheasant was awarded a 2024 James Beard Americas Classic.
6. Kids Night In + Parents Night Out
Parents can enjoy a night on the town while the kids stay and play. You never know what kind of fun you’ll find in the Maker Studio after hours! Please register in advance. If a minimum number of participants is not met within 48 hours in advance full refunds will be issued.

8. Tee’d Off 6 Year Anniversary
We are celebrating 6 years of service to the Brookings area. Please join the fun at the indoor/outdoor tournament Oct 4-5 and customer appreciation party Oct 6 from 1-3 with free simulator time and tasty treats from Homestead Meats!
