Learning from Hidden Queer Stories Talk

Why is it so important to bring queer stories into the spotlight? How can we learn from them? In this talk, we’ll consider the ways that queer stories have been ignored and erased, but how they’ve simultaneously made an enormous mark on popular culture. From the trans histories of 1920s Berlin to the lesbian couple who once edited British Vogue, all the way to modern-day RuPaul’s Drag Race, we’ll reflect on the cultural significance of queer lives, loves and art.
