Often, when those with dietary restrictions are invited to parties that include food, what they’re served is technically vegan or allergen-free, but it can be a far cry from what other guests are served. Bess Pallares, Dakota Community Market Board President, will show participants how easy it is to adapt traditional recipes by creating substitutions or adjustments. Bess will cover cooking and prep methods, provide tips on reading ingredient labels and identifying allergens, and answer any questions that participants might have.

During this event, participants will be able to try out dishes that are vegan and/or adjusted to allergy restrictions. Because of this, registration is required and space is limited. Please register by calling the Library starting July 25th.
