You may or may not recognize Riders In The Sky as just the second show we ever hosted as Woodbine Productions in 2008. As America’s Favorite Cowboys celebrate their 40th season, we are thrilled to be their only South Dakota stop.

For more than four decades, Riders In The Sky have delighted audiences with award-winning harmonies, wacky Western wit, and a deep love for America’s cowboy music tradition. Since their founding in 1977, the legendary quartet has dedicated itself to preserving and celebrating Western music while creating original songs that keep the genre vibrant for new generations.

What began as performances in small Nashville venues grew into an internationally recognized career that includes more than 7,200 appearances, tours in all 50 states, over 40 recordings, and more than 35 years as members of the Grand Ole Opry. Along the way, Riders In The Sky have appeared on television and radio, starred in their own programs, and introduced countless fans to the rich heritage of the American West.

The group’s many honors include two Grammy Awards, induction into the Western Music Hall of Fame, and numerous awards from the Western Music Association and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Their work with Disney and Pixar—including the memorable “Woody’s Roundup” from Toy Story 2—has brought their signature sound to audiences around the world.

In Christmas the Cowboy Way, Riders In The Sky bring their trademark blend of musicianship, comedy, and cowboy charm to holiday favorites, Western classics, and seasonal surprises, creating a festive experience for audiences of all ages.
