The museum is excited to welcome CK Van Dam, author of the book “Lone Tree Claim”. This second novel from CK follows Katie, a Civil War widow who homesteaded 160 acres in Dakota Territory to become a sheepherder. Join CK as she discusses the spark that started this book and her vast research of women homesteaders on the Dakota plains.
