Slick back that hair, break out the poodle skirts, and get ready to cut a rug—Forté of Brookings is throwing a 50s-style Sock Hop, and you’re invited! This free, family-friendly event is packed with throwback fun, tasty treats, and vintage vibes for all ages.
Twist the Night AwayWe’ll be spinning all your favorite 50s and 60s hits—perfect for dancing, toe-tapping, and showing off your best hand jive on the dance floor.
Retro-Inspired Eats & TreatsEnjoy a spread of classic, 50s-themed bites and sweet treats that’ll take you back to the golden era. From savory to sweet, we’ll have something to satisfy every diner-loving guest!
Sock Hop Sips for Grown-UpsFor guests 21+, we’ll be serving a signature Sock Hop cocktail plus a selection of adult beverages—all complimentary, just like everything else at the event.
King & Queen of FortéWe’re starting a new Forté tradition! Help us crown our very first King and Queen of Forté during a fun and festive ceremony you won’t want to miss.
Best Dressed Costume ContestBreak out your best retro fashion—think bobby socks, leather jackets, cat-eye glasses and more—and strut your stuff in our costume contest. Prizes and bragging rights await the coolest cats and dolls!
Games for the Whole GangWe’ll have yard games, co-op challenges like the three-legged race, hula hoop fun, and plenty of activities for kids and adults alike. It’s good, old-fashioned fun for the whole crew!
