Mini-Camp Four: “F” is for Food, Farming, & Fun

Do you know a 5-11 year old looking for an adventure this summer? Have them join the Prairie Learning Academy and Good Roots Farm and Gardens for a nature-based mini-camp this summer! Camp 4, “’F’ is for Food, Farming, & Fun,” will focus on:
- Exploring native and global food systems.

Food for health and fun!

Grains and baking. + We eat with our eyes!
- Harvesting ingredients and making pizza. Cooking and fire safety.
Camps will be supervised by vetted, experienced educators and/or background-checked school volunteers, and Good Roots Farm staff. Visiting enrichment providers are experienced field experts working with the public and/or ecucators.
Facilitated experiences will comprise roughly 1.5 hours of the day while much of the day will involve child-directed activity, hands-on exploration, and collaborative play.
All camps will explore nature and farm life!
Cost is $90 for the first child per camp, and $80 per additional child/per camp. This camp also has a $10 material fee. To inquire about financial assistance, e-mail hello@brookingsPLA.org.
