Poetry on the Road!
Please join us for Poetry on the Road, a series of two-hour events being held in 19 communities across South Dakota, to help foster the creation and appreciation of poetry. The gatherings are a program of the South Dakota State Poetry Society (SDSPS), with the support of the South Dakota Humanities Council and many local sponsors.
Free and open to the public, each event features poetry readings from the South Dakota Poet Laureate, Bruce Roseland, and other SDSPS member poets. There is also an open mic following the reading, where attendees can sign up to read their own original poems if they wish. All are welcome at this FREE event—come to participate or just to listen.
