SDSU/USDA FSIS Food Safety Summit

SDSU Extension in conjunction with the USDA FSIS will host the 2023 SDSU/USDA FSIS Food Safety Summit on August 3 at the SDSU Animal Science Complex, room 126 (1097 N. Campus Dr. Brookings, SD 57007). Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will run from 9:00 a.m-4:00 p.m.
The SDSU / USDA FSIS Food Safety Summit is an opportunity to learn about federal meat regulations and current food safety issues. Presentations will cover the scientific gaps in Appendix A and B, navigating critical control points in non-meat ingredients, minimizing STEC in raw beef, and industry perspectives on sanitation. Anyone involved in the meat and poultry industry is invited to attend.

Registration
There will be both an in-person and virtual option to attend the summit. The cost of attendance is $35 for both virtual and in-person attendees. Registration covers program information and lunch and parking for in-person attendees. Attendees can park in Lot 113, located southwest of the Animal Science Complex. Guest passes are required so please note if you will need one when registering.
Registration is preferred by July 26, 2023; registrations after the deadline will not be guaranteed lunch if attending in person or access to the provided presentation files.
