Wake up on Saturday and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and baked goods at Choco Latte. While you are there pick up an assortment of handmade candy for later. You will not regret it!

Bundle up and head to Dakota Nature Park for a morning outdoors. Depending on the weather and snow in Brookings, you can walk or cross-country ski on the trails. Equipment rentals are available at the Larson Nature Center. Keep an eye on their Facebook for different events hosted during your visit.

Head to Downtown Brookings next to warm up and enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants. After lunch wander the different stores and boutiques to find new SDSU Jackrabbit gear, homewares and more.

While Downtown, visit the Brookings Arts Council to view the latest local artist’s exhibit. With an ever-changing gallery, there is always something new to see. Want to see more art? Check out the South Dakota Art Museum. Both are free to visit.
