Latin rhythms with Alma Andina- Tuesday, July 9th, 6-7:30 pm. Join us for this FREE family friendly concert behind the museum (1036 Medary Ave.)…inside if it rains.

🧺Bring your sunhat, picnic, chair, blanket – and dancing shoes!!! Alma Andina combines traditional instruments from South America with Latin rhythms such as Cumbia, Salsa, Folk, Guajira, Latin Rock, Reggae, and other danceable styles. They have been playing music in the Twin Cities for more than 7 years, always evolving in their instrumentation, line up, and sound in general. With a diverse line up of members from Chile, Mexico, and the USA, Alma Andina brings a mix of musical flavors with traditional dances and invites the community to feel unified and represented by the beautiful and always evolving diversity.

🍿We’ll have a no-host bar, snacks for purchase, yard games and plenty of space for fun on the Campus Green while you enjoy the performance.

🚘Free parking is available in the parking lots south and west of the museum, no need for permits or passes after 4 pm. Come early to explore the South Dakota Art Museum, which will stay open on performance nights until 7:30.

📆Plan to attend all Anderson Plaza Summer Performances: Tuesdays in June and July 25 at 6pm.

These performances are made possible through support provided by Lynn A. and Diane Engh Anderson and generous donors like you. Thank you! Significant operational support is provided by South Dakota State University. Additional support is provided by the South Dakota Arts Council.
