SDSU Jackrabbit Stampede Rodeo

Whoa! Get ready for a weekend of WOW! The South Dakota State University rodeo team will kick up the dust at the 66th annual Jackrabbit Stampede Rodeo at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD with back-to-back-to-back performances Friday, April 8 through Saturday, April 9.
Attendees will watch intense rodeo action with the initial competition beginning at 7:30p.m. Friday, April 8, and continuing Saturday at 1:00p.m. and 7:30p.m. This two-day event is a National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association approved rodeo featuring events such as: Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Bull Riding, Goat Tying, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, and Tie Down Roping.
Tickets are $26 for adults and $19 for children ages 3 to 12; kids 2 and under are free! South Dakota State University students can receive a $20 ticket with student i.d. available at the Swiftel Center Ticket Office only. For every ticket purchased, $3 goes directly back to the SDSU Jackrabbit Stampede Rodeo team.
VIP TICKET
Sit in the best seat in the house! A VIP ticket is $44 and includes a reserved seat next to the rodeo ring, getting you up close to the rodeo action. There is a limited amount of VIP tickets available and are first-come, first-serve.
ABOUT THE SDSU RODEO CLUB
The SDSU rodeo club participants compete in the Great Plains Region. The team travels more than 5,500 miles around South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska representing South Dakota State University. The SDSU rodeo club started in 1952 with 40 students meeting in the basement of the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum and 10 of them traveled to compete. Today, the SDSU rodeo club has grown to more than 40 team members competing in rodeos throughout the year.
