250th Community Mural Night

Be part of something bigger! Join us for a community mural paint night at the South Dakota Art Museum where you’ll create your own original tile that will become part of the larger Brookings mural to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. The mural will be installed in Downtown Brookings with an unveiling scheduled for June 4. Each piece will come together to form a collective work of art—made by the community, for the community.

Totally free. All are welcome and invited. Free parking is available in the Museum lot on Harvey Dunn Street.

Bring a friend and enjoy dirty soda, snacks, and a relaxed, creative evening.

No need to bring anything other than your creativity. All participants will receive a mural kit and instructions. Those interested in a little inspiration, can watch a tutorial found at this link.
