Step into the Nook, a comfortable and vibrant space unlike your typical library or bookstore. Illuminated by bright storefront windows, the entrance features games, stationery, greeting cards, puzzles and more. As you walk in, you’re surrounded by the scent of the store’s custom candles. Near the back, you can look through a variety of books for children, teens and adults, or grab a spot on the couch and enjoy a peaceful read.
The shop’s environment invites readers to feel relaxed while browsing for something to spark their creativity. Whether you’re searching for a gift for a loved one or a new book to ready for yourself, the Nook is the place to be.
The Nook hosts author signings and the monthly “Books + Banter” book club. The shop also participates in seasonal events with other Downtown Brookings businesses. With all of the events happening, it’s a place where visitors can re-energize the mind and body.
The Nook is located at 314 Main Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, and 10 .am. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
