Every third weekend in February, area attractions come together to showcase amazing indoor and outdoor winter activities. Frost Fest is the perfect mash-up for the entire family.

Children’s Museum of South Dakota | February 14 at 6:30pm – 8:30pm | $10
The Snow Ball winter formal is sure to be a special night for children and their grown-up. The museum will transform into a dance floor and a DJ will be spinning tunes from the balcony! Get dressed up in your fanciest dance apparel and play and dance along with us. The Museum exhibits will also be open.
Frost Fest Farmers Market
South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum | February 15 at 9am – 1pm
Join the museum and the Brookings Farmers Market for our annual Frost Fest Farmers Market! Held during Brookings’ Frost Fest, we will have a variety of vendors selling products like fresh produce, baked goods, fresh coffee, handmade items, and much more! Check back in late January for a full list of vendors.

Celebrate Frost Fest in Downtown Brookings! Fill up on chocolate treats throughout the neighborhood during our fun Chocolate Crawl! Each participating business will have a yummy treat to share. Explore new places and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Frost Fest Fundraiser for Brookings Figure Skating Club

A delicious wholesome breakfast in Downtown Brookings during the 2025 Frost Fest celebration! What a perfect way to kick off our Annual Ice Show promotion! Give the chef in your family a break and bring the whole family down for a hot & delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch, all while helping to raise money for the Brookings Figure Skating Club!
