Larson Ice Center
Larson Ice Center is an indoor facility with two rinks; the red rink has a seating capacity of 1,600 and the blue rink has a seating capacity of 336. The 10 locker and team changing rooms house the various hockey groups and ice skating clubs like the Brookings Ice Skating Association and the Brookings Figure Skating Club.
For locals and visitors, the open skating is a popular activity to shake the winter blues. A concession stand and restrooms are also available. In addition, Larson Ice Center may be reserved for special events and birthday parties. Contact the Brookings Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department for specific costs and dates available. The cost of renting the facility does not include the cost of rental skates.

Skate Rental: $5/pair

The University Residential Historic District features some of Brookings’ oldest buildings, including 33 homes once owned by early professors, doctors and business leaders. The Central Residential District showcases 34 homes built between 1891 and 1941, featuring diverse architectural styles and a portion of Brookings’ urban arboretum.
