Hillcrest Park
Hillcrest Park is a great place to bring people together and offers endless entertainment opportunities for all ages to enjoy.
The park contains playground equipment, a multi-purpose field, 10 tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic tables, large-group picnic shelters, paved recreation trail, restroom facilities, 12 horseshoe pits, and multiple paved off-street parking areas. The four picnic shelters are great for causal gatherings, family reunions, birthday parties or even the office get-together.
Reserve the outdoor picnic shelters by calling the Brookings Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.
There are four picnic shelters available to rent (all have electricity): A (112 capacity), B (75 capacity), C (56 capacity), and E (112 capacity). They all share a common grill. Reservations can be made for the calendar year, starting January 1st.
Hillcrest Park also includes Hillcrest Aquatic Center and is located adjacent to Hillcrest Elementary School, across from McDonald’s. It’s a joint-use facility between the City of Brookings and Brookings School District.
